Division Among US

The Apostle Paul rebuked the Corinthian Church because they were identifying with men and not Christ.
(1 Co 1:10-17)

What is it about us that we need to create idols? We do it in politics, sports, and entertainment.

We also do it in the Church. 

Division comes in the Body of Christ because our focus moves away from Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Her 12:2), and ibecome fixated on the messenger. We debate superfluous things like preaching style, lifestyle, and no style. We find ourselves defending “our guy” from those who dare speak a word against them.  

We can’t reach the world for Christ if we’re playing American Idol in the church.
